Part II section 3. The functions and activities of the<br>department are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>                                    FUNCTIONS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Take over and assume responsibility for the proper and effective management of<br>properties forfeited.<\/li><li>Set standards to be applied in the handling of properties forfeited.<\/li><li>Ensure accountability in the management of all the forfeited asset\/properties.<\/li><li>Ensure effective administration and management of forfeited asset\/properties.<\/li><li>Establish and maintain asset management and disposal procedures.<\/li><li>Keep and maintain accurate statistics, data and inventory of all asset with records of<br>their location, value, condition and description of their (asset) status in relation to<br>any proceedings before court.<\/li><li>Liase with federal ministry of justice to negotiate the return and management of all<br>assets seized from foreign countries on behalf of the federal or state government, or<br>any other victim for the benefit of Nigerians.<\/li><li>Collaborate with other government bodies outside Nigeria that are carrying<br>functions, wholly or in part similar to it.<\/li><li>Recommend training of departmental staff on management and disposal of proceeds<br>of crime and related matters.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>                                        ACTIVITIES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For the first time since inception, PCRM and II&amp;M made recoveries of ill-gotten funds<br>from some public officers.<\/li><li>Training on Case files and policy files on the 5the of February 2025, presented by the<br>Director, II&amp;M; Dr. Farouk Dogondaji.<\/li><li>Training on Asset recovery, interim and final forfeiture and disposal process according<br>to the POCA act on the 7th of February 2025, delivered by the Director II&amp;M; Dr.<br>Farouk Dogondaji and two other staff from the EFCC.<\/li><li>Zonal Training on Forensics, Intelligence, POCA sensitization\/ financial analysis for<br>North central Zone on the 11th of April 2025; presented by Chairman CCB, Dr.<br>Abdullahi Usman Bello FCCA, CFE and Director PCRM; Okorocha Ifeanyi FCA.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HEAD OF DEPARTMENT \u2013 Fatima Kere-Ahmed Aliyu Establishment of the department of proceeds of crime recovery and management is in linewith the provision of the POCA ACT 2022.
