Assets & Liabilities Administration<\/h3>\n
HEAD OF DEPARTMENT<\/em> \u2013 Mr. Jimoh .S. Alabi (FCA)<\/p>\n
PREAMBLE<\/strong><\/p>\n
The Department of Asset and Liabilities Administration was created from the merger of three former Assets Departments, namely:<\/p>\n
\n
Federal Public Service,<\/li>\n
Federal Political Department – \u00a0and<\/li>\n
State and Local Government Department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The Department is saddled with the responsibility of administering asset declarations of both career and political office holders<\/strong>, in line with the mandate of the Code of Conduct Bureau.<\/p>\n
STRUCTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n
The Department is structured into the following divisions:<\/p>\n
\n
Statutory Corporations and Agencies<\/li>\n
Civil Service Division<\/li>\n
Foreign Affairs<\/li>\n
Military Personnel<\/li>\n
Police Personnel<\/li>\n
Paramilitary and Other Uniformed Personnel<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Each division is further subdivided into the following units:
\na. Examination Unit
\nb. Registration Unit
\nc. Processing Unit
\nd. Storage Unit<\/p>\n
FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n
In line with its mandate, the core functions of the Department include:<\/p>\n
\n
Requesting and receiving nominal rolls from Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).<\/li>\n
Receiving properly completed self-service Asset Declaration Forms.<\/li>\n
Processing returned Asset Declaration Forms.<\/li>\n
Issuing acknowledgement slips for returned Asset Declaration Forms.<\/li>\n
Verifying returned Asset Declaration Forms using random and risk-based sampling methods.<\/li>\n
Releasing Certified True Copies (CTCs) of Asset Declaration Forms upon request from the Chairman\u2019s Office, FIFA Unit, II&M Department, and other sister agencies.<\/li>\n
Keeping custody of returned Asset Declaration Forms .<\/li>\n
Maintaining statistical data on asset declaration performance for both career and political office holders.<\/li>\n
