The COHEADS Retreat for Chairmen of Governing Councils and Principal Officers of Federal and State Polytechnics was held on 22 January, 2026, at the TETFund Auditorium in Abuja. The event brought together key decision-makers to chart a new course for polytechnic education in Nigeria.

The Chairman, Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Dr. Abdulahi Usman Bello, FCCA, FHEA, CFE, represented by Alh. Mahmoud Abdullahi Ibraheem-Cordinating Director delivered a goodwill message, emphasising the importance of ethical leadership, accountability, and strict adherence to the 1999 Constitution by public officers.

He also stated that good governance encompasses more than just financial aspects; it requires integrity, transparency, and responsible management of human resources.
The theme for the event is “Transforming Polytechnic Education in Nigeria: Innovation, Good Governance, and Sustainability for National Development,”.
