The Code of Conduct Bureau is to collaborate with the National Data Protection Commission in the area of securing data collated and uploaded through the online asset declaration portal.

This was made known during a working visit by the Acting Chairman Code of Conduct Bureau, Barr. Murtala Aliyu Kankia to the National Commissioner, Dr Vincent Olatunji on Tuesday 17th September, 2024 in Abuja.

The Acting Chairman noted that the Bureau was at the Commission to seek collaboration in ensuring that all data collated by the Bureau is protected from cyber hackers. This will further give credibility and confidence in the online assets declaration process by the declarants.

The National Commissioner, Dr Vincent Olatunji commended the efforts of the Acting Chairman and the Management of the Bureau for taking proactive steps to comply with the data protection policy. He added that the commission will support the Bureau as much as possible and also train data protection officers.
