The Chairman, CCB, Prof. Mohammad Isah, accompanied by Board Members and some staff of CCB visited the AGF on 1st day of June,2021.

Abubakar Malami, SAN to discuss issues pertaining the achievements so far recorded by the current leadership of the Bureau as well as some challenges bedeviling its operations.

Prof. Isah in his speech, outlined the innovations currently taking place at CCB and areas that need improvements. According to him, the Bureau has succeeded in investigating and prosecuting a good number of high profile cases. It has also joined the league of some developed nations in terms of Online Assets Declaration System (OADS) which is now “life and online. ”

As part of the challenges, the Chairman reiterated the need for the HAGF to intervene for the Bureau to have its extant Act and some relevant sections of the constitution  amended to have smooth operations. He also calls on Mr Malami to aid the Bureau to acquire an exclusive office accommodation and have the salary and other benefits of the staff of the Bureau upgraded as it is in other anti corruption agencies.

The HAGF,  Abubakar Malami, SAN in his response appreciated the Chairman and members of CCB by acknowledging the growth he has seen at CCB.

He also assured the staff of CCB of his willingness to assist CCB achieve its constitutional mandate.
