The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello, today met with the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele.

The meeting focused on good governance, accountability and transparency in the public service, as well as the important role of the CCB in strengthening ethical conduct and ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct for Public Officers.

The Chairman briefed the Honourable Minister on the ongoing reforms at the Bureau, including efforts to modernise the asset-declaration system, strengthen asset verification and investigation, build staff capacity, improve institutional discipline and deploy technology to enhance the efficiency and security of the Bureau’s operations.

They also discussed the importance of adequate institutional support and stronger collaboration between the CCB and the Federal Ministry of Finance in promoting fiscal responsibility, safeguarding public resources and preventing corruption in the public service.

The engagement reaffirmed their shared commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s anti-corruption and public-sector reform agenda and to building accountable institutions that command public trust.
