The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Dr Abdullahi Usman Bello, has revealed plans for a strategic partnership with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to enhance intelligence gathering through access to public officers’ data. He disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the CAC headquarters on the 8th of July, 2025.
Dr Bello said the collaboration aims to bolster efforts in identifying individuals involved in corrupt practices within the public service. He noted that some senior public officials have been discovered to own companies registered under false identities or proxies which is a clear violation of the Code of Conduct for public officers.
He also announced that the asset declaration form is now available online, simplifying the process for public officers to access.
In his response, the Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, expressed the Commission’s full commitment to supporting the initiative and addressing the concerns raised by the CCB.
