The Director of Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Mr. Rotimi Iseoluwa Oyedepo , SAN, paid a courtesy visit to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in Abuja on the 10th February, 2026.

The DPPF, Mr. Oyedepo SAN emphasised the importance of integrity and ethical governance in national development, commending the Code of Conduct Bureau for its steadfast role in promoting probity and discipline in public office. He said that the Bureau occupies a unique and strategic position within Nigeria’s anti-corruption ecosystem.

According to him, the CCB and the Federal Ministry of Justice are partners by design, as their mandates intersect in promoting accountability and strengthening prosecution outcomes before the Code of Conduct Tribunal and other courts of competent jurisdiction.
He commended the Chairman and staff of the Bureau for their continued service to the nation and assured that cases forwarded by the Bureau would be treated diligently.

Responding, the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello, FCCA, CFE, appreciated the visit, describing it as timely and indicative of the strong partnership between both organisations. He noted that both institutions share a common vision of upholding integrity and enforcing compliance with ethical standards in public service.

Dr. Bello expressed optimism about strengthening collaboration, particularly in prosecution synergy and enforcement of laws governing public officers’ conduct. He disclosed efforts made by the Bureau in modifying the asset declaration process and deploying an online platform to enable easier access for public servants, thereby eliminating excuses for non-compliance.
