The Chairman CCB, Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello says it is very important for both the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal to work together towards achieving their mandates.

The Chairman CCB made this known during a courtesy visit to the Chairman Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar on Monday 18th November, 2024 in Abuja.

Dr Usman Bello stated that the Bureau and Tribunal need to improve on lapses and grey areas to enable them achieve this huge task of fighting corruption.He described both agencies as twins with interrelated functions.

Responding, the Chairman Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar noted that there is a bill to amend the CCB and CCT Acts before the National Assembly. This will further strengthen the operations of both agencies. He expressed hope that the CCB will join forces to support the ascent of this bill.
